I Belong Somewhere (2023-Present)

An ongoing visual self-portrait series. Using scraps of footage from various
personal and commissioned works, I confront my identity and struggles in real-time.

Dreams of Home (2023)

I Still Exist. (2025)

‘I Still Exist’ was most recently written about in TZVI’s guest essay for Reunion ‘THE INTERNET NEW WAVE
which has been subsequently shared by press and via Paul Schrader.

“Kaminuma’s work seems to be strongly shaped by nostalgia-core and liminal spaces: images and videos
dedicated to nostalgic-style ambiance—such as empty classrooms, playgrounds, and childhood bedrooms set to somber music,
often layered with scratching sounds to mimic a cassette tape. While O’Malley satirizes the bizarre,
detached Internet world we live in, Kaminuma breathes life into it, bringing a tactility to the Internet aesthetic.“
